Wedding March — Easy Piano
US$4.99
Mendelssohn's Wedding March, in the original key of C major, arranged so that a pianist in their first year or two can play it as the recessional at a wedding.
It opens with the famous trumpet fanfare, then the full march theme with its surprising opening harmony, the bright middle section, and the theme again. The right hand plays Mendelssohn's melody throughout. The left hand plays his bass line, with simple two-note chords taken from the original harmony. There are no sixteenth notes and no octaves. Fingering is marked wherever the hand moves, and dynamics and phrasing are included.
An optional repeat (bars 6–29) lets you stretch the march to fit the recessional, and it ends on a held C major chord.
2 pages, C major, 4/4, Allegro vivace (quarter = 100).
