Silent Night — Easy Piano

Silent Night (Stille Nacht) for easy piano, with verse 1 lyrics, in D major, the key of Gruber's own 1818 setting. The right hand plays the melody as it is sung, and the left hand plays the hymn's bass in simple two-note chords. A gentle 3/4 with no sixteenth notes and no accidentals. Fingering, dynamics and phrasing are marked. An optional repeat gives a second verse, and the piece closes with a soft echo of "Sleep in heavenly peace". 2 pages.
