Bridal Chorus (Here Comes the Bride) — Easy Piano

US$4.99

Wagner's Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin, best known as "Here Comes the Bride", arranged for easy piano in its original key of B-flat major, for a pianist in their first year or two who wants to play it at a wedding. It opens with Wagner's own four-bar fanfare. The right hand then plays the melody exactly as the chorus sings it: "Here comes the bride", its answering phrase, and the brighter middle strain, before the opening returns to close. The left hand follows Wagner's bass line in long, simple notes. There are no accidentals, no sixteenth notes and no chords wider than a sixth. Fingering is marked wherever the hand moves, and dynamics and phrasing are included. An optional repeat (bars 5–24) lets you stretch the piece to fit the bridal entrance. It ends with a ritardando and a held B-flat major chord. 2 pages, B-flat major, 4/4, Moderato (quarter = 92).
